On 1 July 12 AM Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started GST (Goods and Services Tax) in which DTH & Cable TV prices are going to come down. Bcoz VAT imposed on them were about 24-32% tax but after GST it would be 18% only.
And, these cable and DTH found there own path to loot customers.
See as hathway did they just changed a price representing style as prices are reduced but they are 'exclusive of all taxes' which means they are without adding tax.

@hike bro...vat on entertainment is different in different places. It was higher in delhi and mumbai. So you may not see a reduction in your place if existing vat was lower than gst.In kolkata hathway prime used to cost Rs270. Now it is 228.81 +18% gst =270 (approx) so no change
