Discussion Is Internet TV still worth getting?

In smaller cities as expected Airtel didn't launch its latest Xstream box. Since Internet TV was not available before in these cities. Don't think the latest box will be available anytime soon here. If one is seeking for a streaming device. For ₹3000, is Internet Box still worth getting? As they are getting box DTH and OTT in one box.

Wait for xstream. Internet TV is very buggy. Chromecast is much cheaper and better option if xstream is not available in your area.

My TV already has Chromecast. I and seeking for a device with bluetooth support for wireless headset.

It will be discontinued once stocks over. Xstream box would only be sold in its place.

For ₹3500. It's good enough to get for a non techy elderly person for just YouTube and casting images and stuff? TV is non smart BPL.

Maybe they will update its software to make it like Airtel Xtreme for existing customers of internet tv.. But now we should go for new airtel xtreme if its better than firestick..

When I asked Airtel Social Response team, they told Airtel Internet box is 1st gen while Xstream is 2nd gen. So hoping they will update Airtel Internet box software as Xstream
