It's Official: Captain Media plans to launch 24hr news channel in August

Captain Media, owned by actor and DMDK chief Vijayakant, on Tuesday said it plans to launch its first 24-hour news channel within the next two months.

"We are happy to inform you that Captain Media Private Limited will launch its 24-hour news channel 'Captain News' from August 29," Captain Media managing director LK Sudheesh in a statement said.

"The channel would air unbiased and quality news," he said. 'Captain,' the first 24-hour television channel from the Captain Media stable entered its third year of operations this year, the release added.
