The second edition of the Mughal road car rally, on the ancient 84-km Shopian-Bafliaz stretch of the Mughal road, will start from June 26. "The Mughal Road rally will start from Srinagar on June 26 and will return back next day," an official spokesman said recently. He said the car rally has been organised by Himalayan Motorsport in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Department of Tourism. According to a PTI report, Asghar Hassan Samoon, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir yesterday chaired a meeting of senior civil, police and army officers to finalise the arrangements for ensuring the safe and smooth passage of the rally.

"The cars will travel from Srinagar through Dubjan Shopian to Peer Ki Gali, Bufliaz, Rajouri and Jammu. "The rally will return from Jammu through Bani Baderwah, Kishtwar, Simthan Pass, Daksum, Anantnag to Srinagar," Farooq Shah, Director Tourism, J&K said.
