There is no HD variant for Star Sports 1 Kannada either. It might be high time to launch one.

Registration on ipindia is not mandatory, mib approval required to make changes in existing channels / launching new channels

Star should replace Sports18 1 HD with Star Sports 3 HD instead. I wonder why they are not so keen on bringing an HD version of SS3 when they can launch so many regional channels. It doesn't make sense for SS3 to not have an HD version, when SS1 and SS2 has so. When rival Sony acquired Ten channels, they launched HD feeds for Ten 2 and Ten 3, whereas Star is keen on launching more regional HD sports channels rather than SS3 HD.
I was really excited for it's launch, when it was announced on 2020 and disappointed when it was left out of the next announcements. If they cannot launch SS3 HD, then atleast they should better shutdown the SD version too.

Because in near future we'll see Star Sports 3 to get replaced. Maybe one of the regional sports HD feed.
