Trivandrum: Asianet has all reason to rejoice in cloud 9 as the channel's newly launched fiction show "Karuthamuthu" at 10 PM is skyrocketing with extraordinary growth trend week over week.

As per the ratings of week 43, Kailasha Nadan at 10PM has delivered an average of 4.8 TVR in Female 15+ and 4.2 TVR in MF4+
Asianet launched "Karuthamuthu" at 10 PM time band on 20th October, the show opened with a 100% growth in the first week itself. As per the ratings of week 43 the program opened with 12 TVR in Female 15+ and 9.43 in MF4+. Subsequently, during the week 44, the numbers went up by 35% week over week with 16.1 TVR in Female 15+ and 12.3 TVR in MF4+ category.

"Karuthamuthu" peaked further in week 45 and registered another 25% growth week over week with 20 TVR in Female 15+ and 15.2 TVR in MF4+
In totality Asianet's 10 PM time-band ratings has increased from 4.8 to 20 TVR in Female 15+ ABC and 4.2 to 15.2 TVR in MF4+, which is whooping 400% increase in a matter of four weeks, a trend that is very rare in Indian broadcasting industry, given the present competitive scenario.

Increase in the ratings of "Karuthamuthu" helped Asianet in mounting its weekly GRP as the channel has ascended from 894 GRP in week 43 to 933 GRP in week 44 to 1045 in week 45, which is an increase of 15% in three weeks.

Interestingly, during the year 2004, a fiction show titled "Kavyanjali" with similar concept of two sisters conflict story displayed a similar peaking pattern in ratings, that helped Surya TV to reclaim the numero-uno position in Kerala market. However, in the present scenario Asianet is becoming formidably strong, fortified with unmatchable quality content in every possible area.
