Kerala Cafe screening to be major highlight of GISFF

Highly acclaimed Malayalam anthology Kerala Cafe has been selected for the screening at Guwahati International Short Film Festival (GISFF), which will be held for two days from May 02. Kerala Cafe is one among the 200 films selected from various languages of the world to be premiered at the Film Fest.

Films from countries like India, Spain, Italy, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, the United States and Australia will be screened during the first GISFF. According the director of GISFF, Utpal Borpujari, the special screening of film Kerala Cafe will be a major highlight of the Festival.

According the director, a total of 12 short films will compete for the top movie award at the Festival on 2rd and 3nd May at Assam State Museum Auditorium, Guwahati. There will be other sections like World Kaleidoscope, Indian Kaleidoscope and North-East Shorts. Kerala Cafe is expected to bag at least one award on the occasion.

However, Kerala Cafe happens to be the first film in the history of Malayalam cinema that has huge number of cast and crew. The movie was conceived by a team of 10 directors, 10 cinematographers, musicians, editors, art directors. Moreover, its star cast includes almost all the top Malayalam film actors like Mammootty, Suresh Gopi, Dileep, Jayasurya, Prithviraj, Sreenivasan and many others
