So Sundar C is set to venture into his next that happens to be a historical film. it’s called Brobdingnagian for now and apparently is declared to be one of the most costliest projects till date. So there were reports that Vijay was approached to play the lead role in this tri-lingual film that would see a Tamil, Telugu and Hindi release.
But now looks like, the makers are trying to rope in biggies for each release. So they are in talks with Vijay for the Tamil release and the latest reports is that Mahesh Babu has been approached for the Telugu version. The makers are also in talks with a Bollywood star for the HIndi version. Wow, a superstar for each version makes this project thrice as big! There have been no confirmations on the cast yet but reportedly, AR Rahman, Art director Sabu Cyril and VFX Kamalakannan have been confirmed.
Apparently, the film’s budget will be bigger than Baahubali and Enthiran! So you can imagine the magnitude of this project. Sri Thenandal films will be the one undertaking the expenses. It also marks their 100th film. What better project than this one to take on?
Vijay has currently been working on his next film opposite Jagapathi Babu of Lingaa fame. in fact, Jagapathi was excited to be working with Vijay as it reminded him of the times his father and Vijay’s father had come together to create South films. The film is directed by Bharathan under producer Venkatram Reddy.
As for Mahesh Babu, he will begin work for AR Murugadoss’s next Tamil-Telugu project. SJ Suryah will play the antagonist in this bi-lingual project. The film also features Parineeti Chopra.
