Every year, Forbes magazine releases its list of the wealthiest individuals on the planet. The 25th annual World's Billionaires list (for 2011) from Forbes magazine was released in March featured more than 50 Indians.

Despite a weak global economy, the Forbes rich list 2011 is a record breaker in many respects. With 1,210 billionaires listed, this is an all time record. Asia now has more billionaires than Europe (332 vs. 300) while Moscow has more billionaires (79) than any city in the world.

Mexico 's Carlos Slim widened his lead at No. 1 coming in at $71 Billion (Rs 319,500 Crores) against $53.5 Billion last year. Bill Gates would have been number one, but remained at number 2 with $56 Billion because he has given away $30 Billion to charity.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs took the 110th spot with $8.3 billion compared with 136 and $5.5 billion last year.

The billionaire list also features Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg in the 52nd spot with $13.5 billion.
