Babajob.com, an online job portal, has entered into a partnership with Network18 for their Hyper-Local Multi Lingual News Portal, Pradesh 18.
Pradesh 18 is available in different languages like Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi and Urdu and has plans to come up with other regional languages as well in the coming months. According to the company, the partnership is not only going to support the platform in connecting with their potential employers and job seekers, but will also help the news portal provide significant value to their audience base.
Commenting on the same, Vir Kashyap, Co-founder & COO, Babajob.com said, “Pradesh 18 is a wonderful initiative because it focuses on news in India’s top vernaculars and we are excited to be reaching out to a new and unique audience. We, ourselves, at Babajob take immense pride in being present in multiple regional languages – 6 right now. One of our key technologies, the Interactive Voice Response system (IVR) is already available in multiple regional languages and has given offline job seekers access to a variety of services.“
To which Manish Maheshwari, CEO, Network18 Digital, added, “Pradesh 18 focuses on the content needs of the readers in the vicinity of their place of residence and hence, we want to provide as much local content as possible at PRADESH 18, including news, jobs, matrimonial, buying or selling items, etc. It’ll cover news and aggregate other partners who cater to local needs of the reader in a seamless manner. For the record, Babajob.com, an online job portal for blue collared jobs in India, was founded in 2007 by Sean Blagsvedt, Ira Weise and Vibhore Goyal. They connect to job seekers and employers through various platforms.
Network18, meanwhile, is an Indian mass media company which is owned and operated by Reliance Industries and it’s headquartered in Mumbai.
