New allignment

I am facing some alignment issue.
I am planning to do it alone. I don't have a satellite metre.
I can take my tv and stb to the top of home where the dish is located and do the alignment.
My request to you is
Please suggest some methods to get powerful signals.
Which transponder should be given main priority so that I get good power in all other transponder.
Any other suggestions are also welcomed ?
