Private equity firm New Silk Route is in talks
with Sony Pictures Networks India to sell 9X Media, which owns a clutch of music channels.

New Silk Route and Pradeep Guha are also in talks with
other investors to sell 9X Media for anywhere between Rs 250 crore and Rs 300 crore, The Economic Times
reported.

While New Silk Route holds around 80% stake in the
company, Guha owns about 15%. The sale process is
driven by Guha, ET reported.

9X Media operates music channels such as 9XM, 9X
Tashan, 9X Jalwa, 9X Jhakaas and 9XO.

Highly possible that SPN may lock the deal as they already planning to expand their music bouquet...:tup

Hope! No change in name of 9X Media channels.
