Popular Assamese News Channel "NEWS LIVE" is celebrating it's 14th Anniversary today. The channel was launched on 21st January 2008 by Pride East Entertainment Enterprises Pvt Ltd, which is owned by Riniki Bhuyan Sarma, wife of Assam's Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Congratulations, it is the very first true Assamese private satellite news channel. Prag was a local channel with news bulletin at random hours. It has come way ahead of what it was as a satellite channel. Congratulations to them as well. NE TV was entire northeast centric channel. It was a very refreshing channel when it first launched. It had school centric shows, satire (flop news) and even kids news show.

I am expecting a new logo of News Live soon.
Atleast, They Should Change the channel graphics.

They are arranging a show on their anniversary tonight at 8:00 PM. Hope they will change something.
