After giving hits like 'Airlift', 'Hero' and 'Kal Ho Naa Ho', director Nikhil Advani has been approached to remake 'Hatufim', an Israeli TV show, of which 'Homeland' was a remake.
According to sources, the show will be modified according to Indian audiences. So, where 'Homeland' saw Damian Lewis battling it out in Iraq and 'Hatufim' showed soldiers captured in Lebanon, the Indian version of it will revolve around two Indian soldiers returning home from the Kargil War.
The story will show the difficulties faced by these two soldiers: while one finds out that his wife has married his brother, the other one gets trapped with ISI suspicion.
The show will have powerful actors like Satyadeep Mishra, Sandhya Mridul, Purab Kohli and Amrita Puri.
It will be aired in March and 84 episodes will be shot for the first season.
