Airtel Xstream Box and the latest Android box from dish TV hold optical port.

Hi,
I have a boat soundbar. I am connecting it to the airtel xstream box via optical port. Also, the xstream box is connected to TV via HDMI.
I don't get any output from soundbar unless I restart the xstream box completely. I have to switch off the box totally and switch it on again to get audio output. Even if I put the box in standby and power it on, I don't get any output. Is this a bug in the software of the box or this is actually an issue and I need to get the box replaced?
