A Pakistani court has lifted a ban imposed by Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) on the broadcast of Indian television shows in the country.

The Lahore High Court said that federal government had no objections to Indian TV shows being shown in Pakistan, according to Hindustan Times .
The Lahore High Court Chief, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah said Indian content with any references to anti-Pakistan could be censored out but a blanket ban was not required. He said, “The world has become a global village.”

The government in Pakistan was accused of “selective patriotism” for permitting the screening of Bollywood films in Pakistan but banning Indian television shows.
