Katrina Kaif who without Salman Khan refused to attend any promotional event of Ek Tha Tiger, went missing from the film's event in Delhi yesterday. TOI found out that actress was holed up in her room at the Imperial Hotel having suffered a severe bout of food poisoning.

Salman and director Kabir Khan were left with no choice but to go for all the promotions - mall visits, studio events and interviews, leaving the actress behind. But not before they arranged for a doctor to visit Katrina in her room that afternoon.

A source told us, "Katrina was looking pretty pale when she walked the ramp for Manish Malhotra at the ongoing fashion week. She slept off early that night. The next morning, on Sunday, her health worsened. She had a bad tummy and couldn't make it for the promotions slated for the day."

Interestingly, a couple of days before Katrina flew off to Delhi, she was spotted at Muhammad Ali Road, the korma-kebab capital of Mumbai gorging on some festive food with friends Mini Mathur, Alvira Agnihotri and Arpita Khan. Perhaps her tummy decided to disagree with the sudden celebratory cuisine.

However, Salman and Kabir did not leave Katrina alone in her hotel room on Sunday. They rushed to her side when she apologised to both. "The doctor prescribed strong dosage. But her health did not improve even in the evening. Otherwise she surely would have attended some parts of the promotions in Delhi," said the source.

Whether Katrina gets off her bed for the last leg of the film's promotions remains to be seen. "If her health permits, she surely will. But on Sunday, she was barely able to stand," said the actress' friend.
