problematic HD+ STB (finally bought HD multiconnection)

Dear Friends, my ADTV HD+ STB (technicolor make) is having issues output goes blank for few seconds & this repeats 4 to 5 times in an hour, also my STB downloads software software every 4 days.

Both these problems are quite irritating, is there any remedy apart from replacing the box, also how to convince them for replacing it with a new HEVC STB ( even nodal officer is not agreeing for new STB replacement

There should not be any problem in getting a replacement box. However, replacement box will be a used one. That's the policy of any DTH provider. They don't give new boxes as replacement. I advise you to get a normal box instead of HEVC box as SD channel quality is bad on HEVC as of now.

Thanks Siva & Gobinaath bro for quick reply, as already mentioned in our forum few members have got HEVC box as replacement, so I was hoping for same, however when I called customer care the executive said new box will be provided for Rs 650 is it worth, also I don't watch SD channels so SD channel quality is irrelevant

Normal stb available now anna ?? Btwn hevc sd Channels is almost solved now as per bros experience

Well thats strange. Usually box is replaced, for a nominal charge. Check the list of charges in this forum. There is a thread in ADTV section. Also, at this point in time if you are changing a box, I'd recommend taking HD Box, even if u r not gonna use it now. But quite possible u may start using it soon.

Friends finally bought HD multi connection, specifically demanded the technicolor HEVC HD STB, got it installed on the same day of booking.
As Siva bro has stated earlier, SD channel quality is bit lower than my old Technicolor HD STB, but HD channel quality is marginally better, since I have both STBs with me I was able to compare side by side, also boot time is less & play pause of recorded videos is smooth, on earlier STB after resuming a paused video the audio was still mute for 2-3 seconds.

The UI is slightly confusing need help on same as how to organize favorites, on earlier STB had option to move the channels up & down but could not find that option here, also I got infinity pack free for one month (after that Rs 270/month), is there any lower priced pack for secondary connection with maximum number of HD channels.
