Purpose Of LNB Power On/Off Setting

What's the purpose of LNB power on/off setting in dishtv stb settings? Any advantage/disadvantage of it?

Currently,This Option is Not Functional..
With This Option It was Possible To Turn The LNB OFF / ON..For Receivin Signals..
Functional Option in LNB setup is Multi Satellite (Monoblock LNB).. if u will choose NO n press red button (OK) u will stop gettin signals from Asiasat 5 s..
