Chennai : The Madras High Court today ordered an interim stay on the release of the Hindi movie "Main Hoon Rajinikanth" following a petition filed by actor Rajinikanth.

"Main Hoon Rajinikanth", directed by Saroja and produced by Faizal features popular Tamil actor Adhitya in the lead role. He had acted in several Tamil movies including Arindhum Ariyamalum, Billa, Villu among others.
In Main Hoon Rajinikanth, Actor Adhitya plays a dual role, one as a CBI officer and another one as a paid killer.

A petition was filed by Rajinikanth at the Madras High Court stating that the movie defames him and there are contents, which show him in bad light. Hence he sought a ban on its release.

The petition came up for hearing before Justice Tamilvanan in Madras High Court and he ordered an interim stay and sent a notice to the producers of the moving seeking a reply.

It is also understood that the producers of the movie didn't seek his permission before using his name for their movie title.

Earlier, few Producers in Kollywood, went on naming their movie titles with Rajinikanth's name as prefix or suffix with a commercial motive.

However, they were dropped when the actor objected in a friendly manner.

Market sources also confirm that the super star got miffed due to the factor that the movie promotion materials are having obscene content which gives a bad idea about the movie and apparently he don't want his name to be associated with such third rated movie.
