MUMBAI: Star Plus was the biggest loser followed by Zee TV in terms of gross viewership numbers in the week ended 22 March. While Colors remained stable, all other Hindi general entertainment channels (GECs) gained viewership.
The pecking order, however, remained unchanged, as per TAM data for the Hindi speaking markets (sourced from subscribers).
Here is how the Hindi GECs performed:
Star Plus sits on top with 649 million GVTs (gross TV viewership in thousand), down from 727 million in the trailing week.
Zee TV is No. 2 with 489 million, down from 501 million.
Colors is at No. 3 with 468 million, up from 466 million.
Life OK is at No. 4 with 396 million, up from 361 million.
SAB is 5th with 326 million, up from 313 million.
SET is No. 6 with 313 million, up from 291 million.
Sahara One is at the bottom of the ladder with 33 million, up from 31 million.
