Recorded videos are hanging or not playing

Recording in not smooth in Airtel xstream box. I am using Lexar 32GB pen drive. The recorded videos are not playing smoothly, sometimes it skips or hangs.
Some videos are unable to play, just shows a blank screen.
Please suggest any solution.

This issue was resolved after changing the pen drive. Now Im using usb 3 version 1tb hard disk from Seagate
