Seeking Help Refund procedure

I had biennial mega hd pack on before all this Trai streamlining of the dth packs. Now tata sky had put all the amount in my balance.

1. Is it possible to get a balance refund via cheque or anything else?
Or
2. whenever I disconnect in future, will I get my remaining balance?

Will love if anybody with experience has successfully done this or can point me to any helpful links or discussion.
