No, absolutely no typo errors
here.
Reliance
DTH,
formerly
known as
Reliance
Big TV, has a new name and logo, Reliance Digital TV. As most Reliance DTH subscribers know by now, its an interesting beginning for Reliance DTH with the commencement of 2011. Well skipping what bureaucracy was behind this
change, most Reliance DTH subscribers like me
would be interested in knowing what Reliance has
to offer to us this year. Good news is that Reliance Digital TV started offering a-la-carte menu as
per TRAI Order. If you were following the previous articles on the same, you would know exactly what
we are talking about here. If not, then check http:// www.dth.co/383/trai-notice-dth/ for more details. As confirmed by Sanjay Behl, Chief Executive Officer, Reliance Digital TV, “Through our à la carte service, we are giving our subscribers the ultimate freedom to choose even up to a single channel as part of their monthly entertainment pack. Our existing customers can also have an assortment of channels by adding individual channels from á la carte offerings to their current pack. We will continue to delight our subscribers by introducing exceptional offerings on our platform.” Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) order in July 2010 required all digital TV platforms to offer a-la-carte menu to allow consumers to pick and pay only for the channels they wish. Reliance Digital TV finally follows its competitors, who are all rushing to comply with the January 2011 deadline, after the TRAI notice. Reliance Digital TV follows rivals Airtel Digital TV, Sun Direct DTH, Tata Sky DTH and Videocon d2h in launching á la carte pricing for the multitude of TV channels available to Indian subscribers via their DTH platforms. Reliance Digital TV subscribers opting for only a-la- carte service will have to pay a minimum fee of Rs 150 plus taxes. The channels will be priced between Rs 4.50 to Rs 27 per channel. http:// www.reliancedigitaltv.com/home.html has more details though. As 2011 begins, Reliance DTH service provider changes from Reliance Big TV to Reliance Digital TV and now offering a la carte channels option as per TRAI order. And as they say,
“Get ready for the next revolution in digital entertainment.”
