MUMBAI:In a bid to differentiate
itself in the crowded Hindi news
genre,IBN7 of the Network18 group
has decided to re-launch itself
once again.

It was in July 2013, that the channel had revamped itself.

Now on 19 October, it will again undergo change to reposition itself with the new tag line ‘Hausla Hai’, a fresh perspective and a committed team of reporters, new shows and pacier and cleaner graphics.

Network 18 News president Umesh Upadhyay stated that the re-launch will be a defining milestone for the channel.

“Our increased focus on news as against just views, clean look and feel, our unmatched footprint and coverage and our focus on strong journalistic values will resonate with the Hindi news viewers.

We already have an exceptionally strong team with senior journalists like Sanjeev Paliwal and MK Jha which has become stronger, more vibrant and more credible with the addition of our new team members.”

MUMBAI: More news and less of views and opinions. That will be the new positioning of TV18 Broadcast’s Hindi news channel IBN7,the first major change initiated by the news network following the takeover by Mukesh
Ambani-controlled Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) earlier this year.

Following the exit of editor-in-chief Rajdeep Sardesai who is now a consulting editor at the India Today Group, TV18 Broadcast’s news business has seen a new leadership team.

The changes at the Hindi channel are being fronted by Sumit Awasthi, Richa Anirudh and
Akash Soni, along with Navjyot Kaur, Tejasvi Chandok Nayyar, Payal Bhuyan, Himani Naithani, Pankaj Bhargava and Amrit Anand.

Sumit Awasthi and Akash Soni had joined the channel in August as deputy managing editor.

Both were working with Zee News prior to joining IBN7.

RE: Revamped IBN7 to focus
on ‘news’ and not ‘views’

Now-a-days I'm noticing that more and more popular and reputed news readers are moving to other News channels. There were 3 excellent news readers/anchors at News24 channel and all 3 have moved to different news channels. 1 moved to Aaj Tak and one moved to India TV.

In news readers walon ka koi Imaan dharam nahi hota hai kya?
