Sanjay Leela Bhansali will reportedly be producing the sequel of ‘Rowdy Rathore’ (2012).

Deccan Chronicle reports that the film will see Bhansali producing the Akshay Kumar starrer. Prabhudheva will return as director of the action comedy. Unlike the first part, the sequel will be based on an original script.

The rest of the cast is yet to be announced. It is unclear if Sonakshi Sinha will reprise her role as the female lead.

If the things fall in place, Rowdy Rathore 2 will go on floors by end of May with a start to finish schedule. So far, there isn’t a clarity on Akshay Kumar’s involvement in the sequel. He might or he might not be there. We still await a clear picture as Sid has been offered the cop’s turn in this masala entertainer.
