The RRSat Global Communications Networks announced the launch of two new platforms in the Ku-band satellite Amos 5 (17 ° W) of the Israeli satellite operator Spacecom. Both multiplexes will focus on providing DTH content in sub-Saharan Africa.

One works in the book of multiple Ku-1 (West Central Africa) and the second in the Ku-3 (East of West Africa).

Both multiplexes have the volume to Europe. Due to the proximity to other satellites, Eutelsat and Astra EIRP is very low. Therefore, the power transponders and receiving signals with a parabolic potential large size (about 250 cm).
