airtel will be discontinuing Rs.20 Late Payment Charging (LPC) on post suspension reconnection from 1st July 2014 , but.....

Current Scenario: Rs.20 LPC is currently charged on all reconnection post 24 hour of suspension
New Scenario: No LPC will charged after 24 hour of suspension

This change will be applicable w.e.f 0000 hrs 1st July 2014
Also,
We will be initiating Rs.10 IMF(Idle Maintenance Fee) charging on all accounts reconnecting post suspension.

FAQ’s on IMF

1. What is IMF??
- Idle Maintenance Fee is nominal fee which is charged when customer’s service is suspended.
2. When is it charged?
- Rs.10 IMF will be charged to the customers resuming services post suspension. IMF will be charged from account balance. Minimum account balance required to resume the services post suspension remains Rs.150
3. For which scenario IMF will not be charged
- All accounts resuming services before or on the same day as due date
- All accounts with single recharge value of Rs.1500 or more
4. Why it is being charged?
The IMF is being charged from the customers as during suspension also the customer enjoys multiple benefits, some of them are listed below
- The account is maintained active in our systems and monitored even when the customer is in suspension
- Toll free and Tolled Call center are available 24/7 for suspended customer as well
- Free Services provided to the customers in the in warranty period ; for out of warranty as well the services are given to customers in suspension
- Field service team available to take care of customer account servicing, available for suspended customers as well
- New software updates, EPG updates, channel launches and service launches are available to suspended customers(as per customers rental and packs) from the instant of resumption, but the system maintains updation of all customers at the backend
- Customer has option of recharging on or before due date with pre suspension bonus recharge offer and avoid Rs. 10 IMF, in addition customer enjoys bonus as well

they didnt remove the late payment fee,just reduced it to rs 10..

So all in all they reduced Late fee charges to 10 Rs. from Rs. 20..
