RSS to launch Islamic television channel to ‘Indianise’ nation's Muslim
Mumbai: Rastriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is planning to launch a television channel that would educate Muslims about Islam.
The organisation, known for its not-so-friendly attitude towards the members of the minority sect is planning to come up with a television channel, Paigam TV, and follows on the heels of the launch of Urdu newspaper Paigam Madre Watan.
According to a news report published in Economic Times, the pariwar is also planning to launch an FM channel on the same lines.
The initiative was taken in the wake of general elections scheduled to take place in the country next year.
However, the man behind the imitative, Girish Juyal, says that it has nothing to do with RSS.
Juyal is also the national organising convener- Muslim Rashtriya Manch- headed by Indresh Kumar, a RSS ideologue working to popularise RSS amongst Muslims.
The foray in media is made with the intention of 'Indianising' the Indian Muslim population. The new channel will inform the Indian Muslims about the 'bad things' taking place in other Muslim nations, suggests Juyal.
The ideology of the Muslim Rashtriya Manch is: Muslim ko mukhyadhara se jodna (bring Muslims into the mainstream).
