Bigg Boss is a controversial show. Something that makes everyone divided on whether or not it is worth watching. Surprisingly, something this disruptive has a loyal fanbase as well. But in last few season, it was Salman Khan who was pulling the crowd to the show as it hardly had any good contestants to root for. Despite all that, the channel continued to dole out seasons after seasons and they ran mostly because of the actor’s star power. Guess that prompted the channel to try something new this season to ease some burden of the actor. This time commoners will take to the house in Lonavla which will be an interesting thing to watch. And what is making it even more interesting is Salman’s different ways of shooting the promo for it. Recently, we saw him as astronaut and now he will turn into Indiana Jones.
We have gotten hold of a still from his next promo which has the actor wearing a jacket, a hat and boots with a flaming torch in his hand. With a cute smile pasted on his face, the actor seems to be looking for something. The background is of rocky mountains and path. Since the premise of the show is to get everyone under one roof from all walks of life, the actor is shooting with different backdrops to keep things interesting.
We told you how he will don different avatars for the promo of his show and one of them is also of a wrestler. His Sultan turn made immense money and the actor would be seen taking to the ring again which had left him deeply excited. A source had told DNA, “Salman was delighted to be back in the akhada; in fact, the look and feel of the set further added to his excitement. The superstar didn’t even need time to rehearse his lines which were laced with a Haryanvi accent. One thing that stood out was that the pehelwans shooting with him were trying many tricks to impress the ‘Sultan’. This season the show will introduce commoners and no celebrities.
The decision to do a show with commoners this time stems out from the fact that there are very few Bigg Boss worthy celebs left in the industry. Last year, the poor quality of celebs was criticised by many. The TRPs were also very poor. The twist might win the show its fans back but that remains to be seen. We also hear the actor will shuffle between the show and his film Tubelight. We wonder if the channel will employ some other actor to take his place when he goes shooting for Kabir Khan’s film.
