I checked the channel list of Dish Network, a DTH operator in USA: List of Dish Network channels – TVCL – TV Channel Lists
It is giving same LCN for SD and HD channels. For example, see LCN of Comedy Central. It is 107 for both SD and HD.
So how it work bros? Maybe it checks the STB of the user. If STB is SD, then SD channel is downlinked to the user. If STB is HD, the HD channel is downlinked.
