Star TV strikes deal with Yash Raj Films: Report
This report clearly states that Star gave 500 crore for YRF films for a fixed period. Films like War, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Prithviraj , Shamshera are costly every movie on an average has a 60 crore cost. Mid and small budget films will be around 15-25 crore.
Meanwhile Hichki a niche film has become a surprise tv hit. SPN very cleverly planned it as a matinee movie to cater ladies audience, which is perfect for it.
