Fox News still owned by Mudroch Family while Star which is now controlled by Disney has stakes in Tata Sky. Also Fox News chs do not have broadcast licence in India
Before Disney's acquisition. Fox owned stakes of Tata Sky. Fox News couldn't be made available as service channel?

Service chs too have certain rules to follow and chs cannot air content for which they have limited territorial rights. Fox News might not b able to air as service channel bcoz of 2nd point and anyways no point paying carriage fee without any major advantage

Tata Sky doesn't have Euronews. It's also disappointing to have Fox have stakes in Tata Sky but not have global channels like Fox News and Fox Business under it's umbrella.

I am considering only those international channels which are available in India on satellite or cable. Therefore Euronews, Sky News and TRT World are not considered. Moreover, Fox News and Fox Business are owned by Fox Corporation, not Disney, but still they are available on Disney+ Hotstar.

It looks like a regional bonanza coming for Airtel Digital TV with channels in Tamil, Telugu and other language channels as some of them FTA can only come after carriage fee is paid to operator while for other new deals favouring Airtel should be there as they kept out these channels citing one or other reasons some like Travel XP HD, VH1 HD, Cartoon network HD, and most important of all MTV Beats HD inspite of huge demand.

According @dino29 bro's list. Euronews is a satellite channel.

Euro News has licence and available on cable, it is distributed by CatVision India which also is responsible for distributing France24, TV5Monde Asie in India. I had already last yr mailed them to please make Euro News , France24 available on airtel, they said they r trying for that and talks r on.

On a different note I am glad that Airtel never added this bakwaas channel. I wrote a thread on this topic a year and a half ago. Discussion - Should CNBC-TV18 Prime HD shut down?
This New Year's Eve (2018), we were shell-shocked when Sony Pictures Networks suddenly pulled the plug on two excellent HD channels—Sony Le Plex HD and Sony Rox HD—though a frankly useless HD channel, Sony Ten Golf HD, also got the axe. The closure of Sony Rox HD left MTV Beats HD as the only Hindi HD music channel.

While good niche channels (especially international channels like BBC Entertainment in 2012, MGM in 2015 and Da Vinci Learning HD in 2017; among Indian channels, Epic HD in 2018) have been shut down due to dwindling tastes, a number of useless channels continue to air on Indian TV. Some of them are even available in HD. I, for one, was absolutely delighted when Naaptol HD shut down. The same is true for Sony Ten Golf HD.

One channel that, IMHO, doesn't deserve to be in HD is CNBC-TV18 Prime HD. Despite missing highly important HD channels, Dish TV and especially Videocon d2h continue to carry this channel and waste vital bandwith.

What do you people think?

1. MTV Beats HD
2. MTV HD+
3. VH1 HD
4. CN HD+
5. ETV Plus HD
6. ETV Cinema HD

Not a bad ch for business people as it primarily covers US, Europe, Asia business market news. As i say ch cannot b crap till it is serving purpose with which it has been started. Discovery Turbo, Science r niche chs but now turned useless bcoz of repeat content or not engaing content else even FTA movie chs r good and serve an audience who may not have means to subscribe pay chs
