MUMBAI: History TV18’s new show ‘Journey through Time with Shrenik Rao’ is set to discover the beauty of Kerala on the back of a cycle. The show will premiere on 15 March at 2:30 pm.
Travelling from Trivandrum to Kollam, Alleppy, Kochi, Guruvoyur, Ponnani & Nilambur along Kerala’s beautiful cycling trails, the show will also highlight the environmentally friendly practices that are followed by the people of Kerala.
Seeking to rediscover stories that have spurred the growth of this great civilisation, Shrenik Rao – a traveller, historian and cyclist all rolled into one – travels across Kerala to visit ancient caves, archaeological sites and historic places of worship.
According to the channel, what sets his journey apart is that he cycles through magnificent hill ranges to experience some rather unusual things, opening a window to the world that was. Shrenik also has a larger mission at hand: to support UNEP’s ‘Billion Trees campaign’.
This environment enthusiast ventures on a cycling expedition, starting with Kerala as he hopes to traverse the length of the country during his course.
