German pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland will introduce its TV library service Sky Anytime in Germany and Austria in August 2011.
The service will enable subscribers to watch selected movies, sports and entertainment programmes at the time of their choice.

The content, which is taken from subscribers' individual pay-TV packages, can be accessed by pressing a button of the remote control of HD PVR Sky+. The service is free of charge, no internet connection is necessary.

The content is downloaded onto the hard-disk of Sky+ overnight, so that new programmes will be available each day, a large portion of them in high-definition (HD).

Sky Anytime, which complements video-on-demand service Sky Select, will initially be available to all Sky+ households with DTH satellite reception. Cable customers will follow soon thereafter.
