Wait for official announcement... Last time as well he had screamed Sony had retained Australian Rights.. What happened was entirely different...
Exactly. If this news comes out to be true then it would be interesting to see , which broadcaster telecasts Ashes 2023 , 2025 and 2027 as Star has Australia cricket rights and Sony has got the England one . Even though Star said , they will telecast 2023 Ashes but with Sony getting ECB rights , There will be a dispute between the two broadcaster

If this news turns out to false. Both the twitter sources should be banned from both the forums.
I don't mind KSR, he is a very good and credible cricket journalist, not great at anything related to that business though.. He was saying Sony wrote a blank cheque for ECB as if Sony doesn't care about their balance sheet, which is the very reason they lost to Star on Australian Rights..

Not to forget the riot that was started by him and Vijay Tagore of Cricbuzz on Twitter that Sony had won IPL rights.

I think Both sources of KSR/TOI only. Cric Mufa, John's always copying sources of official TOI, Cricbuzz and ESPN cricinfo.

Whoever hosts Ashes, the rights will be with that country.. Star will get them when they are playing on Australian soil, and whoever has ECB rights will get them matches played on English soil.its simple as that..

Also, Star never said that they will broadcast 2023 Ashes or whatever your imagination is.. However, whomsoever has ECB rights will broadcast them as it will in English soil.

There cannot be any dispute. Ashes series hosted by Australia will be broadcast on STAR while the one hosted by England will be broadcast on SONY.

This statement is self explanatory !!!

With this all India games in Australia, the Ashes series and the Big Bash League will be beamed, from next season, on Star, which recently retained the television rights of the highly lucrative IPL. It is also bidding for the ICC rights
