then it's huge insult and loss to private broadcasters who pay huge money to acquire Sports Rights, 60:40 Revenue share false information, it's 20:80 somewhere read that private broadcasters gets just 20% Revenue from so called national importance channel.
It's too old 2017 article. Below quote link article are 2021 and 2022 which claims 25%.75 % revenue earned by DD Sports through telecast of such events is shared with concerned private sports broadcaster who holds rights for it.
When the verdict came out that DD cannot carry feed of sports of events of national importance on private cable and dth platforms then Prasar Bharati CEO was very happy with it.
Reason being DD Sports got the much needed boost as all the sports events were shifted there and regular programming on DD National was not interrupted. Here r few articles about this

they may argue that if the sporting events are of national importance, DD can share the cost during the purchase of the rights (say on a 75:25 or 60:40 ratio) as the BBC does in the UK.
