Should Sports Networks have Regional Channels?

I'm guessing the subtle inclusion of "TEN" text on the Sony Sports Channel logos will be phased out in the near future. With Zee coming back into sports broadcasting and following the Zee+Sony merger, this exercise might be expected at that time, along with some plans for Zee's sports channel/s.

I don't understand the inclusion of "ten" in their logo. During the initial revamp after the acquisition of Ten Sports it was understandable to keep ten as Ten sports was an iconic and well established channel. Now it doesn't make any sense to include "ten" in their name. People are familiar and used to Sony sports network

There is revenue sharing. It's not totally free. DD also acquired rights in the past and does same today. They don't enjoy the luxury of being backed by a big institution. On top of that BBL is a commercial event. Would you say idiocracy when Eurosport is made to share Olympics rights with BBC?
