T20 Leagues attracts more sponsors because it leads to more people "making teams" on fantasy sports apps which isn't the case with bilateral series. So when you acquire a T20 League. You are guaranteed to attract one of those major fantasy sports services. Bilateral series doesn't guarantee same.
