Yes, it's there on all movies airing on Star Gold 2 since morning. Maybe they are airing movies with subtitles at daytime for deaf and mute viewers. Anyhow nice gesture by broadcaster.

It's a government order from 2019 that is forcing TV channels to show subtitles on their programs.

Accessibility standard for person with disability on TV Channels

As it's phased implementation, with every passing year the minimum subtitles requirement will continue to increase. These broadcasters are just complying with that minimum requirement that's why captions are displayed only for a few hours.

Nice initiative by the government and well implemented first by star/disney. Now i hope operators give subtitles on/off button on all set top boxes as it will enable viewers to activate feature as per requirement
