Breaking Star Network will be launching 15 Channels and shutting down 10 channels

I think Disney-Star should name their channels like this.

Star gold- star gold
Star gold 2 - Star gold 2
Star gold Select- Star gold select
UTV movies - Star bollywood
UTV action - Star bharat movies or Star action
UTV HD - Star gold 2 HD
Star Utsav movies - Star classic.

And for the "Star Utsav Movies" it should get Rebranded as of "Star Classic" like of Zee Classic where it will focus more on Classic Titles from 1960 to 1999 which already Acquired and to be Acquired in Future by Star / Disney. And then Subscribers will get parallel Choices for Classics from All Biggies (Star/Zee/Sony).
That is supposedly to give it a rating boost on its biggest platform DD FreeDish when Dhinchaak and B4U are offering recently released movies?

I Guess lot of members confusion on UTV movie Channels, so don't expect Disney/UTV Brand channels Rebranding and Licences in Star India, also there is no logic expecting these Disney/UTV Licence moving to Star India

UTV movies - Star bollywood
UTV action - Star bharat movies or Star action
UTV HD - Star gold 2 HD
No it's not happening currently, Disney/UTV and Star India different companies Both have separate Network and Licence Registered on Ministry of Broadcasting

Do you that now Disney is the Owner of Star India ??
Even then, licences for all the Star and Disney channels are not registered under the same company. Within Star itself, all the regional channels except Jalsha and Pravah channels are registered under separate entities such as Vijay Television Pvt. Ltd. and Asianet Communications Pvt. Ltd. Even if Disney and Star are now the same entity, transferring the licences of UTV channels to Star-branded channels is not an easy task. This is what @Rd22 bro was referring to.

It’s odd that Star Utsav Movies was supposed to rebrand to Star Gold Family, as the new MIB permitted channels list reflected this change. However it seems that rural viewers on DDFD are accustomed to the Utsav brand, and so Star has decided to let it drop for the time being. Do you think this rebrand would be a sensible decision?
Definitely not! They already loosing customer base in cities because of local cable channels which shows more movies no ads.
