DDF Exclusive Star Sports 1 Bangla to be launched on 5 March 2019

There will be Malayalam commentary. Last year there was it for Final through Asianet Movies. This year it gets some expansion -matches on all sundays. Also if they put English/hindi feed through Malayalam channel no improvement happen for viewership(it may decline)

I raised the doubt as the news article was not explicit, couldn't find other sources either.

Bengali users are not happy, what's the use of sports ch if it does not telecast live sports and shows 24x7 highlights. Look at today's situation, Ban vs Nz live match is going on but SS1/SS1H/SS2/SS3/SSF does not telecast it. They kept it for Select chs which they don't provide in lower pack.

So it's like we paid money for previous year IPL highlights and not for live matches

These regional channels are targeting INDIA specific sports content like IND cricket, IPL, ISL PSL etc. They wont show foriegn football leagues, other team's cricket matches, Tennis, F1, golf etc... Not many would watch all that on a regional channel

Tomorrow with Odi Match of India they'll launch .. Ads will Start from tomorrow .. so hopefully the 5th March launch is gonna happen
