MUMBAI: Just a day before the 12th Indian International Film Academy (IIFA) weekend and awards get going, Toronto is witnessing the biggest convergence of Bollywood stars unseen in the past.

The event, to be held between 23 and 25 June, will see the screening of 20 Bollywood films including Chak De India, Hera Pheri, Dabangg and Dil To Pagal Ha among others in Toronto and its sister cities of Brampton, Mississauga and Markham.

"With a number of film briefings taking place, the media will be privy to sneak previews of some highly anticipated films including Love Breakup Zindagi, Aazaan, Politics of Love and Tell Me O Khuda," IIFA organisers said in a statement.

According to the organisers, more than 22,000 people are expected to attend the IIFA Awards that will be beamed internationally to over 700 million people. In addition to the main awards show, the IIFA Film Festival will take place at cinemas across four cities in the Greater Toronto area from 24 June.

Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, the Deol clan of Dharmendra (Sunny, Bobby, Esha and Hema Malini), Preity Zinta, Priyanka Chopra, Bipasha Basu, Mallika Sherawat, Dia Mirza, Anil Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty, Neetu and Rishi Kapoor, Arbaaz and Malaika Arora Khan are expected to attend the festival.

The three-day show, which will open with Salman Khan's debut production Chillar Party, will culminate with the Bollywood Oscars night on 25 June.
