Creative would be fine but you won't get theatre like exp. you'd need good amplifier for boost it.

If you want 5.1 full surround sound then you have to buy av reciever. If your only goal is to have quality audio and full 5.1 doesnt matter then i suggest Soundbars instead of 2.1 speakers because it looks cool than 2.1 speaker system . I am using jbl soundbar and mine even without subwoofer sound is awesome with very good bass( not uncontrolled and earth shattering boom boom though) if you want those boom boom bass(only good in music and some movies) then you can attach extra subwoofer( many soundbar comes with extra wireless subwoofer with them). I am using cool looking selfmade a 150w subwoofer unit using rock ford fosgate driver.
