Tamil Nadu’s 10 new Arasu centres. Planned to be increased to 320.

In order to expand the scope of state-run Arasu Cable TV Corporation and extend more services to the people, Tamil Nadu government has decided to start 10 Arasu Common Service Centers in each district. Public will be able to avail all government-related services at these centers.

RE: Tamil Nadu’s 10 new Arasu centres.

CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Government’s Information Technology Department seems set for a busy year ahead, with Minister Mukkur N Subramanian announcing that the Tamil Nadu e-Governance Standards Manual would be released soon.

He also announced a number of projects aimed at improving the efficacy of the use of network resources by various government departments, the development of a Tamil visual thesaurus and a pilot project to set up 320 Arasu Common Services Centres to improve the services of the Arasu Cable Corporation. Subramanian’s announcements came during the ongoing Budget Session in the Assembly.
