'D Sport' HD Feed EPG Now Updated as "DSPORT HD" in Tata Sky. earlier it was available as "DSPORT".

Okay first they shut down hd channel, then convert the regular channel to HD dafaq?

Excellent Move by Tatasky So no removal of HD feed by Tatasky as Channel is still alive from Broadcaster end . Now SD feed adding by Ts as extra

DSPORT HD got regulatory approval as per this link. So it's not going to be a dead channel after all.

MIB issued two, cancelled four licences in 2018 till April

Why will anyone shutdown HD infavour of SD when you are targeting urban population ?

They will most probably use these 2 licences for some other purpose. Why would they drop DSport HD or for that matter rename Jeet to Jeet Prime and again apply for fresh permission for the former. This all does not add up well, let us wait n watch.

Bcoz their current content has no attraction value. Shutting down HD will save cost. TEN Golf HD had to shut down for same reason, our premium audience does not prefer paying more for niche content and to survive on ads one needs to get popular stuff onboard

DSport is surely not competing with the mighty Star or Sony network so their sports bouquet will not contain major sporting events like footbal/cricket/tenis/olympic etc they have to rely on small sports which are played mostly in western countries and so rural India will hardly follow those so it will be hard to sell the ch there

TRAI has mentioned all the unlaunched & shutdowned channels in FTA list in which D Sport HD is also present which clearly indicates that it'll shutdown soon.
Moreover in the pay channels Ala-Carte list of TRAI only D Sport SD is present @4. Discovery has got license for it's SD feed so they should update the other one as D Sport HD in their bouquet but they've not so & only D Sport is present which clearly indicates that HD feed will shutdown.

Well, Discovery should now re-launch HD feed for i-League. People are complaining!
