-‘The Citizen Journalist
Show’ completes its 100th episode this week. Ever since its inception, the concept of Citizen Journalism has been a catalyst of change for thousands of Indians. The show has given the common man a platform to raise issues that affect their lives and the society at large. Watch the 100th episode of ‘The Citizen Journalist Show’, on June 4th at 9:30pm with repeat telecast on June 5th at 12:00pm & 10:00pm. Stand Up! Speak Out! Fight Back! The 100th episode will be a one hour special show anchored by channel editor Rajdeep Sardesai. True to the CJ spirit, Rajdeep will take to the streets to trace the CJ journey so far. Anubha Bhonsle and the
CJ team will also share their experiences over the years. More importantly, Citizen Journalists will relive their experience of turning reporters and taking up the CNN-IBN mike to resolve issues. From a father trying to get overloaded trucks off the highways after his son was run over to 11 year olds demanding that they be allowed to play in their local park, every story is a special one on the CJ show. Speaking on the 100th episode of ‘The Citizen Journalist Show’, Rajdeep Sardesai, Editor-in-Chief, CNN-IBN, IBN7 & IBN-Lokmat, said, “Citizen Journalism in its true sense has become a mass movement that has seen a lot of participation from our viewers. This is an active community that engages with us across platforms that include CNN- IBN, IBNLive.com, on-mobile, on-ground and across our social media assets. The 100th episode traces this journey that started with a story idea which has now become a movement.”
