JAK :
* they got digital for 10 year licence
* now they use one package for digital 160 rs
* they loss many customer to new mso

OTHER MSO :
* mso include tccl , akshaya , crystal ,athavar.
* they got 10 years licence.
* they give signal to near surroundings.
* lco who got signal from mso use arasu cable
Analog .
* tccl package is descent
* other mso I do not know
* arasu cable is back bone of these mso
* 2016 election after how they survive ?

staying with analog in chennai is also very expensive solution as the number of the channel count is getting reduced day by day. currently sonypix, discovery tamil, even news x i blieve has been removed we can expect more channels to be removed in the coming months and still we have to pay Rs120 per month for just the tamil channels and few english channels. With the current scenario its better to choose a good DTH with your requirements and move there and stay there if you want to save your STB cost. Im talking all this with reference to SCV not about other MSO.

Excellent points. If this continues then more and more people will move towards DTH and Chennai would become India's first 100% DTH city as local cable wont be able to provide service on a long run for a very few users.

Anyhow, SCV survived successfully since 2011 even without political power.

Though it looks so its too hard to believe that they survived without political power, i think directly or indirectly they have the needed power which helps them rule all alone. Its the people who are getting ******.
