TS box uncompatiblity with LG/SONY TVs

My TATA sky technician told me that some Sony and LG TVs are not compatible with tata Sky set top boxes especially HD boxes.

I get a lot of blinks in my LG LCD TV AND picture shifts horizontally. TS Technician blamed it on non compatibility.

There is no such things. If u have checked the HDMI cable with different STB then I think u need to change some settings. Plz remove the link.

This is rediculous statement by so called technician.. My Brother in law is using 42" LG LED HD TV for Tatasky HD+ from more than a year

Me too use tata sky hd+ with 32 inch sony led, really first time heard this type of statment.

I think he is a rookie technician.

In my sony tv when selected dolby digital via hdmi. Volume control stops working through tata sky remote on dolby digital channels. Works only with tv remote volume control. This is not the case when connected to samsung tv. Reported this to tata sky 6 months back. But no correction.

This can be due to HDMI pass through for dolby digital.

It happens with me too. My new Sony LED TV causes this problem. On the other hand my old LG TV never had this issue.

But there is a solution for this problem. Just change Preferred audio type to PCM from Dolby Digital for HDMI type in Organiser -> User settings -> Audio settings.
