  • Madras high court will give is verdict on Cable TV Channels prices.
  • And, on advt. Delhi High court.
  • TRAI ask for it in 2014.
  • In this TRAI ask that monthly rental shouldn't cross 130 per month in any circumstances and broadcaster maximum amount should be 13 rupees per channel.
  • Every channel has to show it's MRP.
  • If broadcaster wants it can give these channels in packs with discount upto 15%
  • As per report the DTH pack rates has increased to 50% which is more than enough to control it TRAI brings the TRAI Tarrif Regulation.
  • Court said that they will give their verdict within two weeks.

Very good news. It should be implemented as soon as possible especially the price capping. Operators are charging too much for some channels.
Airtel has already implemented it. SD channels at ₹10 & HD at ₹20. Hope they implement this on Sports channels too

In this news , only cable operators are mentioned . So dth operators will be excluded???

Price will be reduced for both as it will be done by broadcaster & cable TV users will get all SD channels for ₹130/month.
